The constraint in a gym is not aesthetics but circulation. Equipment, mirrors, free weights and moving people all need clear space, so the decor belongs at the entrance, around the reception desk, along the corridor walls and high above head height, never in the lanes where someone is lifting or running.
Visually, a fitness interior is usually dark, industrial and lit with spotlights, which makes chrome and matte finishes in the brand colours far more effective than pastels. An organic garland along the reception counter, two columns framing the doorway and a large foil number for an anniversary or a member milestone are usually enough to change the whole room.
Fixing needs attention too. Balloons should not be attached to sprinklers, fire sensors, ventilation grilles or lighting rigs, and clusters near air conditioning outlets will drift and rub, so we anchor to freestanding stands and weighted bases wherever possible.
- Concentrate decor at the entrance, reception and corridors
- Chrome and matte finishes in brand colours suit dark gym interiors
- Ceiling clusters placed high, well clear of equipment and mirrors
- Large foil numbers for anniversaries, openings and member milestones
- Nothing fixed to sprinklers, fire sensors, vents or lighting rigs
Corporate installations are described on the event decoration page.
